INSISTER SPACE öppnar upp dörrarna till ett residens på Skogen och vill jättegärna möta Göteborgsbaserade aktörer och välkomnar  till 4 dagars delande av konstnärliga praktiker samt samtalar om strukturer och behov inom fältet. Intresserade kan delta i allt från en till alla sessions.

Dansresidens i Luleå 2019

Luleå kommun och Dansinitiativet utlyser nu Luleå dansresidens 2019.
Under hösten 2019 huserar Dansinitiativet två dansresidens i sina nya lokaler i Luleå. Residen- sen erbjuder tillgång till scen/produktionslokal, boende i lägenhet i centrala Luleå, tekniskt stöd, viss tillgång till bil och produktionsstöd. Sökande ska vara professionellt verksam och kan befinna sig tidigt, mitt i eller i slutet av sin process.

Dansens Dag 2019

Dansens dag har firats sedan 1982 då Danskommittén inom ITI/Unesco tog initiativet till att lyfta dansen med en egen dag att fira världen över. I år är det den egyptiska dansaren och koreografen Karima Mansour som står för uttalandet. 

Applied Dance Dramaturgy

A Workshop on the Usefullness of Dance Dramaturgy in Choreographic Practices 10-12 maj

In the field of dance, dramaturgy is still a relatively new discipline and a new profession, which is therefore still viewed with curiosity and suspicion. All too often one wonders what dramaturgy actually is. But instead of losing ourselves in endless attempts at definition, we will – in this intense theory-practical Workshop – concentrate more on what dramaturgy can actually do, both for choreographers and for dance as such.

We will take a closer look into various dramaturgical practices. Such as focussing on methods that can help to concretize and contextualize artistic ideas, for example for project proposals or program texts, but also for collaboration within the artistic team. However, we will also examine the content and dynamics of some dance pieces as case studies and thus fathom the significance of dramaturgy as a choreographic tool in dance.

This workshop is open for those who did not have the opportunity to join in last November as well as for participants of last year’s introductory workshop. Together we will refresh our knowledge and deepen it in different exercises and case studies.

 Thomas Schaupp is a free-lancing dance dramaturg based in Berlin. He is collaborating with several international choreographers, currently with Anne-Mareike Hess, Janne-Camilla Lyster, Camille Mutel and Stian Danielsen. As a mentor and advisor for young choreographers he collaborates with institutions such as Dansearena Nord in Hammerfest and KHIO in Oslo. Thomas is a guest teacher at the Inter-University Centre for Dance in Berlin and facilitates workshops on dance-dramaturgy in choreographic centres across Europe. In collaboration with Ibsen International and Goethe Institut Beijing he also co-curates a Cultural Exchange Program on Dance Dramaturgy in China.

När: fredag 10 maj kl. 13.00-17.00 lördag 11 maj kl. 10.00-18.00 och söndag 12 maj kl. 11.00-15.00

Anmälan senast 7 maj 2019: maila vast(at)danscentrum.se ange i ämnesraden Workshop dramaturgi. Workshopen är kostnadsfri för Danscentrum Västs medlemmar. För yrkesutövande koreograf och/eller dansare som inte är medlem är avgiften 300 kronor.

Residens i Sverige

Konstnärsnämndens nya residens i Sverige ger möjlighet att söka två veckors residens i Göteborg, Malmö eller Stockholm.

Residensstipendiet kan sökas av koreografer och dansare för samarbeten där danskonstnärer bosatta i Sverige bjuder in utlandsbosatt samarbetspartner till Sverige. Stipendiet består av 10 000 kr/per person för en tvåveckorsperiod samt ersättning för boende och resor.  Stipendiaterna arrangerar själv boende och resor. Residensen gäller två veckor. I ansökan anger du önskad period,  se aktuell tidsram i ansökningsformuläret.

Residens i Göteborg  arrangeras tillsammans med Danscentrum Väst som ansvarar för värdskapet och bokning av dansstudio.

Residens i Malmö arrangeras tillsammans med Danscentrum Syd som ansvarar för värdskapet och bokning av dansstudio.

Residens i Stockholm: Studion är belägen i Konstnärsnämndens lokaler på Maria skolgata 83 i Stockholm.

Stretch

Stretch is an international encounter for dance professionals held in Turku, Finland in October 2019 – Register now!

Professionals from all over the dance field will gather in Turku for discussions, workshops, morning classes and to network with international colleagues. The encounter continues the activities of the Nordic-Baltic dance network keđja.

keđja presents: Stretch 2019 Turku is held on 17–20.10.2019. The theme for this international encounter for dance professionals is Expanding Professionalism. It addresses professional practices of dance artists now and in the future, international work and sustainability, the possibilities of residences ja the relationship between art and the societal context.
