Stöd de fria konstnärerna i Belgien!

I Belgien har beslut fattats att skriva ner projektstöden till den fria sektorn med 60%.  Etablerade kulturinstitutioner får en nedskrivning om 6 %. Det är den flamländske  kulturministern Jan Jambon som  tilhör det nationalistiska Ny-Flamländska Alliansen som genomfört detta. Hjälp de protesterande konstnärerna genom att skriva under denna petition.

Utlysning: Residens för danskonstnärer Uppsala juni 2020

Köttinspektionen är ett kulturhus beläget i Uppsala, och har funnits sedan 2014. I huset ryms tre verksamheter som turas om i lokalerna; dans, teater och konst.

Vi som driver Köttinspektionen Dans har sedan 2016 presenterat och upplåtit lokalen till en mängd konstnärliga praktiker, föreställningar och interventioner som på olika sätt experimenterar med dans och koreografi som konstform, politik, relation. Under en månad, 1 juni – 30 juni 2020, erbjuds ett residens till dansare eller koreograf, enskild eller grupp, för att i slutet av perioden möta en publik i en öppen presentation eller föreställning.

Broaden your mime master class with Nola Rae 
Mimes are the cartoonists of theatre, illustrating ideas in as few moves as possible. Making the invisible visible, mime is the international art of imagination and storytelling. Principle techniques are articulation and fixed point. This is a guide through fascinating techniques that can make a performer truly memorable.

This is for enthusiastic professionals, who want to know more about what makes visual theatre really visual and who are not afraid to move.

Working Method master class with Jakop Ahlbom
In Jakop Ahlbom’s master class at GBG Mime he will use the methods he applies in working with his performers during the process of creation.

You have a background and experience in theatre or dance and you are interested in improving your skills in physical theatre.You will learn systems to create unexpected new material in a very short time. The exercises focus on developing physical awareness, sensibility and breaking down patterns and habits that enable discovering new ways of moving.You will be working from improvisation to create and structure new material and experience how Jakop works with the environment, set and available props and furniture. You will learn how to translate different emotions and dramatic intentions into theatrical scenes and physical movement.
Working in groups, Jakop will show how small changes can have a huge impact in the meaning and experience of a situation.

KID-residens: Fanny Kivimäki och Juanita Barrera Dueñas

Denna vecka startar Konstnärsnämndens internationella dansresidens som görs i samarbete med Danscentrum Väst. Residenset pågår i två veckor.

JUANITA BARRERA DUEÑAS is an architect and performing artist originally from Colombia. Juanita focuses on exploring the body and space as scenarios for dialogue, promoting an interdisciplinary approach and focusing on public spaces and technology.

FANNY KIVIMÄKI arbetar som koreograf och dansare i Västra Götaland men kommer ursprungligen från Kiruna. Hennes konstnärskap präglas av hemlängtan, rötter och tillhörighet. Fannys skapar interaktivitet med publik och scenrum och det intresserar henne att utmana rädslor och hämningar hos både artist och publik.

OUR WORK 

We are interested in gestures and body language and its relationship to space and time, to communicate. We want to explore the relationship, logic or not, or both, between gestures, spaces and the experience of time.

Applying chance operations and allowing chaos and order to work together from small pieces involved: our tool-bag of collected bodies, we would like to present the process of exploring with gestures by giving and receiving data to create new material. we are creating a methodology that  unfolds on-stage

This is an attempt to focus on the spots we don’t look at on a regular basis.

Stream-Flow Method: workshop med Heidi Vierthaler

Re-connect with your body. Move with greater ease, while feeling more relaxed and energised at the same time.

A unique and constantly evolving tool for dancers and non dancers alike, using visual imagery and tactile exercises to help release the body and heighten awareness on many levels. From simple ball imagery exploring inner and outer body, to delicate touch guidance, causing an array of dynamics, from extremely fragile to surprisingly powerful.
Ideal for braking habitual movement patterns.

Heidi’s interest lies in discovering a deeper knowledge of the body’s possibilities for the benefit of others and to continue developing her own distinctive movement language. Stream-Flow is an effective and creative approach to bridging different dance forms or just bring more joy to your life through movement.
The focus of this workshop will be on integrating heightened inner and outer awareness as the foundation of endless initiations and physical organisations.

We will work on separating the body into small sections from joint to joint and space to space. We’ll also develop phrases of movement that will allow for surprising initiations, and a richer result with less effort and a rich pallet of dynamics. At the end, we will blend our personal experiences with new ideas allowing transformation and a different approach to creation

Gain confidence through developing a deeper understanding of your body, and experience a deeper sense of well being.

Centre Stage | Core

Centre Stage | Core är en kurs för dig som vill utveckla din kommunikation och ditt konstnärliga ledarskap. Det här är en unik chans för professionellt konstnärligt verksamma kvinnor inom dans, teater och musik. Kursen pågår under ca ett och ett halvt år och är skräddarsydd utifrån scenkonstnärers behov. Du kommer att få möjlighet att lära känna och använda ditt bästa redskap, nämligen dig själv.

Kursen kommer att innehålla fyra kursträffar med en träff Spanien, en i Irland och en i Sverige. Varje kursträff är tre dagar. Vid det fjärde tillfället får du som deltagare möjlighet att besöka en europeisk branschträff, en mässa eller ett nätverksevent som passar just ditt konstnärskap.

Att gå kursen är en unik chans som bara 8 personer från Sverige får möjligheten till. Centre Stage-projektet har medfinansiering genom EU-programmet Kreativa Europa vilket gör det möjligt för oss att hålla en mycket låg kostnad (endast 1000 kr) för kursen.

OPEN CALL – Devised theatre and performance

Projektet Future Epics ger dig nu möjligheten att ansöka till labbet ”Devised theatre and performance” som kommer att ske i Barcelona, Spanien från den 11 till 17 november. Labbet arrangeras av Tasca Projectes d’animació sociocultural. Labbet är en del av projektet ”Future Epics”, skapat för att belysa undertryckta och bortglömda historiskaberättelser genom scenkonst. ”Future Epics” är ett tvåårigt samarbetsprojekt mellan Vitlycke – Centre for Performing Arts (Sverige), Heartefact (Serbien), Tasca (Spanien) och Dubrovnik Summer Festival (Kroatien).

Labbet ”Devised theatre and performance” är ett sätt att leta efter historiska teman som kan senare användas i projektet. Det är också en möjlighet för projektpartners att bygga ett produktionsteam som ska arbeta fram tre föreställningar med premiärer på Dubrovnik Summer Festival 2020.
