Riina Kalmi is a Finnish dancer and dance teacher. She studied in Turku Arts Academy (BA Dance teacher) and SEAD (BA Dance). Riina is teaching contemporary dance technique and currently working as a dancer in Wee Company/Francesco Scavetta.

Class description:

In the beginning of the class we will do exercises to wake up awareness, sensitivity and adaptivity. The inspiration for movement work comes from released based techniques, floor work, and different styles of martial arts (Muay Chaiya, Kung Fu, Tai Chi). We improvise and work in pairs to explore integrated and free movement. The class will be finished with a set movement material playing with gravity, balance and different qualities of movement.
