Joan is an independent choreographer based in Scotland and Artistic Director of Joan Clevillé Dance. He also works as a guest teacher for Scottish Dance Theatre, Skånes Dansteater, Goteborg Opera, Norrdans, The Place (London), Codarts (Rotterdam).

Class description:

Joan’s contemporary technique class is release-based and combines elements from his own choreographic practice and his experience as a dancer in repertory companies across Europe. The class starts with some breath and improvisation work, and then moves into a series of set exercises encouraging efficiency in the movement and organic flow. In the last part, we move into longer, more dynamic phrases to finish with some jump sequences across the space.
