Under maj 2015 har Rosalind Goldberg ett residens på Skogen och arbetar med två kommande produktioner, ett solo och ett nytt verk tillsammans med koreograferna Stina Nyberg och Sandra Lolax.

”I am interested in the consequence weight can have on me, and I on weight. How matter can come to matter differently. For the residency at Skogen I will develop a physical practice and a writing practice that engage in weight. In this research I relate to weight as when something carries a measurable weight as well as when giving something significance (matter/worth/meaning/time/focus/concentration…). I will work with my own body mass and with different objects that carry different masses of weight. The research departs from an interest on weights inevitable actuality, its variable significate and its etymology. The approach is a physical investigation by which I will shift, move and form weight, both literally and metaphorically. I’m interested in the consequence weight can have on me and I on weight. How matter can come to matter differently.”

Rosalind Goldberg (SE/NO/DE), Sandra Lolax (FI/SE) and Stina Nyberg (SE) started working together in 2008. Since then they have completed the projects A Section of Falling (2008), A White Rhythm Section (2009), Weapons of Mass Production (2010) and Fake Somatic Practice (2011). They have presented work at Tanztage Berlin, Lofft Leipzig, Uferstudios Berlin, Tou Scene in Stavanger, Weld and MDT in Stockholm.

Rosalind Goldberg graduated from the MA in choreography at HZT – Inter –University Center for Dance Berlin October 2014. She is born in Norway, raised in Sweden and based in Stockholm and in Berlin where she works within several collaborations as well as alone. Since 2009 is she co-produced by the venue WELD in Stockholm. As a dancer Rosalind has worked with Ingri Fiksdal, deufert&plischke, Anne-Mareike Hess and Mårten Spångberg.

Sandra Lolax works with choreography and movement practices, alone and with others, her work is based in both Finland and Sweden. She has worked as a dancer with various choreographers, and currently with Mårten Spångberg, Maya M. Carroll and Linda Blomqvist. Sandra’s work has been shown at festivals in Sweden, Finland and France.

Stina Nyberg is based in Stockholm where she is co-produced by the theatre MDT. The last years she has choreographed the live concert by the Swedish band The Knife and made a choreography for the Cullberg Ballet, as well as produced her own solos and group works.
