Biography:
Susanne Martin (Berlin) is an improvisation-based choreographer, performer, researcher, and teacher in the field of contemporary dance and theatre. She focuses on CI, instant composition, somatic awareness, and ironic distancing as core considerations in contemporary performance making. Her book Dancing Age(ing): Rethinking Age(ing) in and through Improvisation Practice and Performance was published 2017. Susanne studied at Rotterdam Dance Academy, Folkwang University Essen, Inter-University Centre for Dance Berlin, and Middlesex University London. Class desciption:
I teach what I embody as dancer and performer. I teach what I know most about, what I learned and still passionately study. This series of 90 min classes will use some tools from contact improvisation, group and solo improvisation to feed your dance skills and dancing appetite and the use of your full movement potential.
