Cora Hillebrands, Maria von Hausswolffs och Rita Nettelstads nya verk utgår från berättandet. I en hybrid av föreställning och installation skapas ett flöde av händelser; ett rum där olika element snarare finns där för att undersöka berättelsens betydelser, än att iscensätta den.
Cora Hillebrand b. in 1985 Gothenburg, Sweden, has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Photography, 2009-2012, and a Master of Fine Arts in photography from the Valand Academy from 2012 – 2014. She works conceptually, and her work deals with the absurd and the theme of human evil. The artistic formats vary between installation, video, sound and performance.
Lives and works in Gothenburg.
Maria von Hausswolff b. 1985 in Gothenburg, Sweden. Studied Fine Art at Städelschule in Frankfurt 2007-2009 and cinematography at the National Film School of Denmark 2009-2013. While her interdisciplinary approach is at times disarmingly simple, she is an artist who refuses to opt for obvious or safe solutions and is continually pushing and challenging her own practice. Her work with film has clear links to her interest in structure and rhythm as it has already manifest itself in her spoken word poetry performances.
Lives and works in Copenhagen, Denmark.
Rita Nettelstad b. 1986 educated at Valand Academy in Gothenburg and at Konstfack in Stockholm. At present studying a master in History of Ideas at the program Critical Studies at Gothenburg University. Her work is mainly conceptual and involves moving images, drawing, text, performance and sculpture. Material and subjects are often interwoven in the form of installation. Since 2011 she has worked with the theme: centre and periphery, in relation to the body and disability.
