Miguel Duarte

BIO

Miguel Duarte, born in Portugal, started his dance education at the National Conservatory of Lisbon at the age of 12. Although the main focus was on both classical and modern dance the school offered valuable skills on multiple styles and techniques. After graduating, Miguel started his career as a professional dancer as a member of the Nederlands Dans Theater, where he danced for four years. These years revealed to be some of the richest for his development as an artist, having had the opportunity to experience work from a myriad of choreographers such as Johan Inger, Sharon Eyal and Marco Goecke. In 2019 Miguel joined the Hofesh Shechter Company.
