NOW’S THE TIME : TAKE A LEAP

Dear Reader, Colleague, Friend.
LEAP Sweden and Vitlycke – Centre for Performing Arts are currently looking to support six teachers and dance
professionals on your! trip to LEAP’s final Symposium in Vienna, Austria by covering all travel and accommodation expenses. The Symposium, entitled Teaching Form[less]!, takes place between July 24 and July 26, 2015. It is supported by and happens within the program of ImPulsTanz – International Dance Festival and is concerned with the question of what it means to (or even: is it possible to) educate a body into becoming: a versatile, adaptable and a creative body. And if: how can that goal be achieved as the territory between somatic work and aesthetic, form driven work becomes more difficult to navigate?

The symposium welcomes everyone interested in contemporary dance and related fields and invites to share teaching practices, questions & ideas around the current teaching of the art-form.

The only requirement for getting your trip supported through LEAP is having an IDOCDE teacher’s profile that meets this program’s eligibility criteria (to meet eligibility criteria, one is asked to upload to the website one general class description of yours, one description of taking or giving a specific class and one personal comment to somebody else’s IDOCDE activity). for more information on eligibility, how to achieve it or other: please contact pavleh@gmail.com
Apart from having your travel and accommodation expenses covered, all LEAP participants get a 50% discount on
any ImPulsTanz workshop! Important note: there is no limit to the number of workshops you can attend by using this discount. The full workshop programme has been published online on April 29! Check the programme at:

Once in Vienna, all LEAP participants need to register their participation in the Symposium (and Workshop) through the ImPulsTanz workshop office; or online through workshopoffice@impulstanz.com.

IMPORTANT: In order for the travel expenses to be covered by LEAP Sweden and Vitlycke – Centre for Performing Arts all flights to and from Vienna must be round-trip flights that leave from and return to Sweden!
