Jeanette Langert has been acknowledged as one of Sweden’s most intriguing choreographers. Celebrated for her cohesive dance works, she develops the art of dancing without compromises. Her minimalist approach both moves and startles her audience while the press has praised her unique, stylistically strong style. She finds inspiration in literary and theoretical sources such as August Strindberg, Michel Foucault or Elfriede Jelinek, linking the body to other art forms and philosophy. In 2015, she was awarded the Swedish Theatre Critics Dance Prize for her latest work, Jean, co-produced with Dancenet Sweden.

Jeanette Langert is supported by the Swedish Arts Council, the Swedish Arts Grants Committee and the City of Gothenburg.
